Zoe Harper

Zoe is a specialist mount maker with over 22 years experience in museums and galleries.

Zoe specialised in metal design in her Three Dimensional Design degree and went on to work with several Artistic blacksmiths, as well as designing and producing her own work.

Her career started at Plowden and Smith Ltd in 2001, where she progressed from mount maker to Exhibitions Manager. Here she worked on several new museum installations, both in the UK and abroad. These included exhibitions at The Royal Academy, V&A, Smithsonian USA and AGO Toronto.

In 2006 she joined Roy Mandeville at The Museum Workshop as an Associate. Here she built on her mount making and project management skills.

She set up Bespoke Mounts in 2015 and has been working directly with museums, and private collections ever since. Her clients include:

Historic Royal Palaces, V&A, Bath Fashion Museum, Lambeth Palace, Museum of The Home, The Postal Museum, Army Museum London, , Bodleian Library, National Library of Wales, National Gallery London, Durham Cathedral, Wimbledon Tennis Museum.

Rebecca Ash

Rebecca’s Fine Art background led her into a career in Museums and Galleries.

Beginning her career at the Tate Galleries as an art technician and then at the V&A in the display team, she installed contemporary and traditional fine art and museum artefacts. Displays included small scale temporary exhibitions to large scale permanent galleries.

Rebecca’s mount making skills were learnt during 6 years at the ‘Victoria & Albert Museum’ and furthered at the ‘Horniman Museum and Gardens’.

She has since been a freelance specialist mountmaker for 6 years and her work includes the following clients-

The British Library, The Wellcome Trust, Natural History Museum, Pitt Rivers Museum, Grant Museum of Zoology, The Petrie Museum, Ordovas, Sir John Soane Museum and University Museum of Zoology-Cambridge.
